No you can't. Also, you can not understand scripture unless somebody explains it to you, like the case of Philip and the Ethiopian. Philip asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?" The Ethiopian replied, "How can I, unless someone explains it to me?" (Acts 8:30-31)

Scripture is inerrant (it contains no error), however, men's interpretations are not infallible (men makes mistakes). This is where the Church comes in - guided by the Holy Spirit, she protects the correct interpretation of scripture.
