In the Old Testament, what do the 12 wells and 70 palm trees represent?

Is it parallel to Mat 10:5 when Jesus sent out His 12 disciples as well as in Luke 12:1 when He sent out the seventy, two by two?

Exodus 15:27

NKJV - 27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.

There were twelve forefathers of Israel. Those persons who went with Joseph into Egypt were seventy (Gen 46:27). It is a direct remembrance by God that He has done this thing to fulfill His promise to Abraham. It is an orderly recognition by a supernatural occurence.
There may be a future significance of 12 disciples and 70 missionaries relating Old to New Testament, but this is most likely a direct referral to 12 forefathers, 70 Israelites going into Goshen.

The 12 wells signify the 12 tribes of Israel bringing water to the 70 nations.
God told Abraham that through his descendants, he would bless the nations with the knowledge of God and his Torah.
