The “best way to pray” for your husband’s salvation is to just open your heart to God and talk to him like He’s your best friend in the world. There is nothing that has to be worded in a certain way, or place you need to be when you pray, or anything like that. Just word it any way that feels the most natural way for you to say it.

Some things that you might want to ask Him to do is to guide your every word and action so that His love for your husband shines through you in everything you do and say. You might want to ask Him to bring someone else into his life, not to replace you, but in addition to you that may be able to say something that your husband needs to hear that he may not be as open to hear when it is coming from his wife.

I don’t know anything about you, your husband, your marriage, or anything like that, so I don’t know if this is applicable to your situation, but sometimes a spouse will have barriers against the other spouse because of how long they have been together and everything they have been through. In those types of situations he may be more open to listening to someone else to hear what he needs to hear in order to give his heart to God.

You may not want to hear this, but God gives everyone free will and He will never force salvation on anyone, so he may never give his heart over to God. As I’m writing this I am praying that he does give his heart to God, but nobody but God knows if he will.

Please don’t be discouraged that you have been praying for the last 20 years and your husband still hasn’t given his heart to God. Keep praying for him as long as you both are alive, and keep being someone that God can use to witness to him.

Probably many ways as long as you are sincere and believing. But just a suggestion. Pray that God help your husband see the light in you. Pray that He help you to so let that light shine that your husband cannot help but see it. Especially if you have not been a Christian for long yourself, your husband seeing the change in you will be the result of those prayers. If you were a Christian before you met or have been a Christian for some time, then go out of your way to show your joy in the Lord. Smile a lot and make him wonder what you are up to then tell him the reason for your joy. Get him to go to church with you on special occasions. Do something nice for him and give God the credit.

Reading thru Proverbs 31... V 12. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. How much more good could continual prayer be? Also v 25. Strength and honor are her clothing, she shall rejoice in time to come. You have to believe that as you are doing what is right by loving and praying for your husband there will be a time of rejoicing. V 28 her children arise up and call her blessed, and her husband also, and he praises her. They see what we do and how we live.. If he isn't praising you out loud, believe me inside he is thankful for your prayers and your ife in Christ. I believe it will be worth being faithful no matter how long it takes. You may be the only light that he can see. My prayer is that you will be rejoicing in your husbands salvation - in Gods time.
