My feeling as I read this verse is that when I am so very distressed and I have not turned to God, God reaches out to my distress and finds me. He pours His faithful Love over me and gives me the peace that I should have sought in the first place. My sinful nature sometimes stops me from first going to my Loving Father. David the Great king of Israel, also did these same things that we do today. We always must stand guard, we live in a world whose kingdom belongs to Satan. BUT THAT WILL NOT BE FOREVER! PRAISE GOD OUR GLORIOUS LOVING AND EVER FAITHFUL FATHER!
My opinion is that when I have become weak and weary and feeling far away from God, as I call upon him, my deepest being, my spirit, will call upon the depth of the spirit of God. My soul will connect deeply to God. Then His love and presence will cover and envelope me like waves and billows over me.... God loves us to return to him and he always embraces us. Our spirits naturally will seek a place in God since is our source. "My soul yearns and faints for the courts of my God, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God..."
My opinion is as recorded in psalms 29, that the voice of the Lord is powerful and mighty. Deep in awe of God's greatness calls unto Deep, in fear of his Judgement and praises of his wondrous works
To me, this means, "getting in The Spirit" of God, in Jesus Name. It is being aware of His Vastness, and also, His Personal Love and Answers I (we) need. Thank You Lord, Thank You Jesus. Amen!
