ESV - 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.

I'm not sure I understand the reason for this question. Is it to call into question the veracity of the bible, or is this being asked to cast doubt on Jesus being omniscient? Did the writer make a mistake? Is there a mistake, and if so, who made it? I don't think there is a mistake, and there's no doubt here as to whether Jesus knows all things.

The account was written well after it all happened, so if it was contrived it could have been corrected to make sure that the written record would align with the events.

We don't have to look really hard for reasons to doubt the truth and authority of the scriptures, the scriptures make claims that are easy to doubt. A man being formed from the dust of the ground, being made alive by having the breath of God breathed into him, makes no sense. Being naked and not knowing it makes no sense. Living 930 years makes no sense. Living eternally in a place that has no natural source of light, but where darkness doesn't exist, makes no natural sense.

From start to finish the scriptures can be disbelieved if we attempt to believe them with our natural way of understanding. Parsing words that Jesus said, and looking for varying reasons to cast the scriptures aside, won't help us to gain a better understanding of truth.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Prov 3:5,6).

The next 7 words (vs 7a) sum it up: "Be not wise in your own eyes."

The question was not meant to challenge God's word. It was asked of me by a serious Bible student and I had no answer. I appreciate your defense of the validity of God's word.
