True. We may never fully understand who God is because his revelation is a continuing mystery until we meet Christ and only then shall we fully know him as he is. However Scripture gives us the clearest picture and is the sole basis for describing the Trinity and indeed the revelation of God to us. Any extra-biblical definition would not be tenable.
