Mark 13:32-37 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It's like a man going away: he leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch! 2 Peter 3:11-18 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, (referring to the Day of the Lord, vs 10) what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed it's coming... So then, dear friends, looking forward to this (a new heaven and a new earth), make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him......be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 1 Pet 1:13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at His coming. How do we survive the end times? Read your Bible, pray, maturing in your faith. I think sometimes Christians get caught up in the details of end times prophecy...the order of events, the time they will occur when I think its fairly clear that that is not the focus God wants us to have. Even Jesus doesn't know when Gods return will happen! The Bible gives us everything we need to survive end times, current time, all the time! As Christians, we can disagree on some of the finer details but we need to "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." "Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification." We survive by: living in harmony with one another be sympathetic love as brothers be compassionate be humble repay evil/insult with blessing keep tongue from evil no deceitful speech turn from evil do good seek and pursue peace 1 Pet 3:8-12 Remember, the world is watching us!
