Is belief the only requirement for salvation?

The jailor asked what he must do to be saved. Paul replied to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He didn't say that the jailor must be born again. He didn't say he had to be in the vine.

Many people believe in Jesus but that's as far as it goes. There is no fruit, no fellowship with other believers, no growth in their walk with God. Is belief then the only requirement to be saved?

Acts 17:1 - 34

ESV - 1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2 And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures.
