Leviticus 7:1

ESV - 1 This is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy.

It is recorded that they took the ashes away from the altars of the burnt offering, but I can't find any instruction to clean the blood off the altars. So the question has to remain open. Considering the number of sacrifices, the vast number of animals slaughtered and the amount of blood poured out, the altar and its surroundings must have been continually drenched with blood resembling a butchers yard. It is hard to imagine that there wasn't a huge amount of cleaning needed, but there is no explicit statement. And without that we cannot be certain.
