I wanted to add that the the visit that Joseph Smith got was more than likely a demon in disguise. If you recall from the story of Adam and Eve sinning. Eve was visited by an "angel" that twisted the words of God in saying in Genesis 4; then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die"
But that is exactly the opposite of what God said. "You will die if you eat the fruit of good and evil." The devil twists God's words into keeping some of the Bible in there.
The angel was named, Moroni. This angel was a demon in disguise.
