Is 'what would Jesus do?' (WWJD) something we should seek to live by?

WWJD means live by the beatitudes. We should all give it our best effort.

Rather than WWJD it should be WDJD What Did Jesus Do. What did Jesus do when his good friend Lazarus died? He raised him from the dead. I have been to lots and lots of funerals in my 72+ years but I have never raised anyone from the dead. What did Jesus do when the centurion's servant was sick? He healed him from afar. I've visited many a sick Christian in the hospital but none were instantly healed as soon as I left home for the hospital. There have been many a time while in my fishing boat that I wanted to go to shore but every time I hopped out to walk to shore I sank, unlike Jesus who walked upon the water.

Jesus is God almighty and as such knows exactly what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and 100 years from now. We don't. So WSWD (What Should We Do?) Trust in the Lord and lean not unto your own understanding.
