Why does God send people to hell?

Hi,
I personally believe that when God blew into the nostrils of Adam the breath of life, that he produced blood in Adam's body. I don't believe that it was air because one can live without air for a couple minutes anyway. According to (Lev 17:11) For the life of the flesh is in the blood. Also in (Lev 17:14) For it is the life of all flesh: the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh; for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whosoever eateth it shall be cut off. So therefore air would not have brought Adams flesh to life but blood would have because life is in the blood, and which also proves that a soul is created in the womb. A baby shares everything of its mother, but their blood is separate, never mixing. From the time of conception the baby has it's own blood. It has the life of the flesh in it, its own soul, which is why abortion is so wrong. This is just my opinion.

Perhaps this question is best answered by questions. Do we know of anyone that has been sent to hell by God? Are we certain that hell does exist as a place? Is it not possible that the concept of hell is more a description of being permanently/ eternally lost and foresaken than an actual place?

Do we know of anyone that has been sent to hell by God? This seems an odd question to me, and the answer is to first determine whether or not hell is real. Once we've done that, then I'm sure all of us know of people that are in hell. That question is no different than asking, "Do we know of anyone that has been accepted into heaven by God?" The answer to that question is based upon our understanding of what Scripture teaches. Once we know what Scripture teaches, then I'm sure all of us know some people that have been sent to heaven.
As for hell being a place, Revelation 20:10,15 seems to be using a noun to describe the lake of fire. So yes, Scripture would indicate that it is a real place.

Romans 10:9-13 says that if a person confesses with his or her mouth that Jesus, The Christ is Lord and believes in his or her heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved--saved to eternal life in heaven, saved from eternal death in hell. Hell is a real place that one sends himself/herself by not believing on, confessing and living for Jesus, The Christ. Today is the day of that salvation...Jesus saves!

When I was young, my father passed on a simple piece of advice, "Don't eat yellow snow". I never have - I've never debated what yellow snow is, or broken down the mechanics of the advise: I've just obeyed it.
So why, when this sort of question is asked, do we get into debates on semantics or the mechanics of what is happening?
There is a hell. Else what are we saved from? Why debate the mechanics? The issue is always - there is a hell, and there is a heaven. Avoid one, get to the other!
And that can only happen by the shed blood of our glorious saviour

Hi, I have been raised my whole life in church and have always been taught that God sends no one to hell and that they go by their own choice. I can see where you get confused, though. Everybody has a choice, to either accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, or to ignore Him. If you choose to accept Him, your eternity will be in Heaven after you die. If you don't, though, on the Day of Judgement you will be banished to an eternity in hell. John 3:16 says this: For God so loved the world, He gave his only son, so that that whoever believes in Him should not perish (die) but have eternal life. God loved us enough to send His only son to die on a cross for us, in place of our eternal death. (Hell) he gives us a choice, to believe in Him. Everybody is born a sinner, and must confess that to God and believe in Him in order to be saved. If you need help getting saved, please just talk to me! Thank you, and I hope this helps you!
