In Acts 10:23-26 we have the account of Peter entering the house of Cornelius who fell down at Peter's feet and worshiped him. In v. 26 Peter responded. " But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man."

In Revelation 19:9 during his Patmos vision, John is apparently in the presence of an angel. In v. 10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

The word "worship" (Gr. pros-kü-ne'-ō) has the same definition in both passages according to Strong's concordance. 

to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence
among the Orientals, esp. The Persians, to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence
in the NT by kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication
used of homage shown to men and beings of superior rank
to the Jewish high priests
to God
to Christ
to heavenly beings
to demons

We should show respect to all people. However, as Peter stated in Acts 10:34 " Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" Paul stated in Romans 2:11 "For there is no respect of persons with God"
