"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." 1 Timothy 2:11-12. "The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:3-5 According to these verses woman aren't suppose to teach men, they are to teach younger woman. But what if I wrote a book, (non fictional, theological) would it be wrong for a man to read my book that he could 'learn' from?

We must remember the book of Timothy was written by timothy no doubt that he was called by God. Verse 11-12 it states but I suffer not women to teach not God said so that was a personal preference Timothy had. Titus 2:3-5 never said not to teach men it only give example that older women should teach the younger.it never said women couldn't teach men. We must make sure that we read the bible for ourselves and ask the holy spirit to guide us into all truth. Women are powerful vessels of the lord and the lord will use whomever to get his word across rather man women child animal :) god bless you
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1Timothy 2:11-12.
This charge I entrust to you,Timothy, my child... (1 Tim 1:18). Someone other than Timothy wrote First Timothy unless Timothy was writing to himself. It's true, however, that the writer said he didn't allow a woman to teach. Other preachers do allow it. Paul wrote this epistle to Rev Timothy. He didn't tell Timothy to not let the women teach. He didn't say Jesus didn't want women to teach. He just said he didn't allow it. That was his right.
Paul wasn't married. He said it was good for a single person to remain single. He actually told the people to stay single if they were single when they got born again. So some of you who claim to have gotten born again at 4 years old probably should have never even dated anybody if you think you should follow everything that Paul says.
He also said this: were you a slave when called? Don't be concerned about it. He wrote that they should remain in the condition in which they were called (1 Cor 7:20). Clearly, this man had always been a free man.
What am I saying? Am I trying to discredit Paul? No, he was a great church administrator. But he was only a preacher, not a god. Preachers have opinions just like everybody else. I disagree with preachers all the time, and I'm sure many disagree with me. The good thing is that we have the same Spirit, if THEY have the Spirit.
Lastly this: Paul didn't write a new set of commandments to the church. He offered leadership to a new body of believers. That's all!
