As Paul said, I can be content in poverty or riches. We should be content with what God has given us. We take so much for granted. He sends us blessings every day but we are unthankfull and unholy. It never hurts though to ask God for anything, but always within His will for us. If we ask for bread will He give us a rock? Our Heavenly father knows what we have need of, and He will provide it from His riches in Glory.
A man with no material wealth can be just as happy as a man with great wealth. But the Lord does give us things also. He will never give us something that will turn out bad for us. Sometimes He is willing to give us something we want but not right now. The key to prayer is always to pray in our fathers will and accept His will before our own.
When we put His will first we know that what we have asked will be answered with the best for His purpose. We would rather have His will be done than anything we could possibly want. We want His will rather than our own will. I would rather have Jesus than anything this world has to offer.
We do not know what tomorrow is going to be like. Let tomorrow take care of itself. We should not say we will do this or that tomorrow because it may not be in Gods purpose that we do that.
God is still on the throne and should be on the throne of our hearts. He always has our best interest at heart. When we accept His will it brings us great joy. Maybe not at first, but it will in time. We will understand it better by and by. Thank God He never gives us things that will ruin us.

That is an accounting term. Paid in full. John 3:18. Acts 16:31.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus life, death, and resurrection.
When He died we died with him. Colossians 3:3. He rose from the dead for our justification. Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us all trespasses. Romans 4:7-8.
