What religion were Paul and Peter?
For if these two are regarded as part of the strong foundation of much of the Christian teachings, are we following them rightly or wrongly? Because the papacy of the Roman Catholic Church was founded on Peter, If I am not a Roman Catholic, am I taking Peter wrongly?

Peter and Paul believed in the divinity of Christ, therefore, Peter and Paul cannot be Mormons nor Jehovah's Witnesses.

Peter and Paul were martyred in Rome, and on their burial sites, Catholic Basilicas were erected. So it is possible that Peter and Paul were Catholics.

Can you be more sure about what exactly they were, for you said; "it is possible that Pater and Paul were Catholics, rather should say; Roman Catholics. Can you be more sure than to simply assume?

Mine is a fairly reasonable assumption that if a Jew died, his fellow Jews will say prayers and bury him. If a Catholic die, most probably, his fellow Catholics will pray for his soul and bury him.
If you die in UK, they will send your body to your family, to your hone town and bury you there.
And yes, Ceasar had Peter and Paul executed. But, in some divine comical twist, Ceasar's successor is not in Rome now, Peter's successor is.

What Peter and Paul taught, whether in letter or spoken word, was the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The verse you have quoted (2 Thessalonians 2:15 NLT “With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter”) confirms we are to follow the teaching of the Apostles (Peter, Paul, John, Matthew etc). As the Apostles are no longer with us to teach us in person through their spoken word, we do have their letter teaching as recorded in the New Testament. For this reason their teaching is available to us today through the Scripture alone.

Please Vincent, with all respect, let this be about facts not assumptions. Let us avoid beating around the bush and hit the point. The question is; according to information available to us, were Paul and Peter Roman Catholics as you try to claim? If so, prove it.
Also let us know from you how one is supposed to be counted to be a Roman Catholic. Is what one should believe be about what is done in their honor, or a relationship with God?
I am one person who never believes what is done after someone's death has any impact. Rather it changes nothing about what they believe.
