To add my two cents, we, as Christians are not to endure the wrath of God, but Satan's fury. We are never told to run away from anything except fornication. We are always commanded to stand, serve and die for our faith. The rapture is based on escapism, a, "Get me out of this world Lord!" instead of keeping me here as long as possible so I can glorify your name and work here on earth.
Call us escapists, but I'm in agreement with the other Paul on this one (my flesh is anyway).
2 Cor 5:8
"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."
To your point though, my spirit does desire to continue working my salvation out of myself for the benefit of others. My failure to do this effectively, for those who continue to remain lost, does indeed come with much fear and trembling for them.
Absolutely. I want to be with Christ Jesus sooooo bad, but that's also my flesh talking. This life is hard and I'm weary. But to live and see God's grace being displayed in my family daily makes staying here worthwhile. Thanks for your comment brother.
Amen brother!
